Julian Goldie's Agent OS is the best of the Hermes Agent dashboards if you want everything in one place; the official Hermes web dashboard is the best free option. This page compares the Hermes Agent dashboards you can actually run Hermes from, and it judges them on one thing: what you can see and control from the screen in front of you.

That means five questions. Can you see your missions? Can you see and manage memory? Can you set schedules? Can you track usage and cost? And can you run more than one agent without losing track of which is which?

Disclosure: Agent OS is mine. It's the dashboard I built for my own agents, and it comes with the AI Profit Boardroom for $69/mo.

Here's the quick version before the full write-ups. A tick means the dashboard is built around that job. A dash means it's not the main point of that tool, or I'm not going to claim it.

1. Julian Goldie's Agent OS

Agent OS is my custom-built dashboard for running Hermes Agent and other agents, like Claude Code and Codex, from one screen. If your problem is "I have agents everywhere and I can't see what any of them are doing," this is the fix.

What you can see and control:

Setup is a zip install with setup training, so you're not left guessing. You could run your agents inside Hermes Desktop, but I just don't think it looks as good as something we've custom built.

The Agent OS guide walks through the whole thing, and there's a deeper look at how it sits on top of Hermes in my Hermes Agent OS dashboard breakdown.

Best for: anyone running more than one agent who wants missions, memory, skills and automations on one screen.

2. Hermes web dashboard

The official Hermes web dashboard is the best free option, and it's already on your machine. Run hermes dashboard and it starts a local web server and opens 127.0.0.1:9119 in your browser. Per the Hermes docs, it runs entirely on your machine and no data leaves localhost.

It's an admin panel more than a mission board, and it's a good one. Per the docs, you get:

One dashboard manages every profile on the machine through a sidebar switcher. If you want the full command breakdown, read my guide to the hermes dashboard command.

Best for: free, official control over config, schedules and usage.

3. Hermes Desktop

Hermes Desktop is the official native app from Nous Research for macOS on Apple silicon, Windows and Linux. It uses the same agent core as the CLI, so nothing about the agent changes. You just get a proper app around it.

You get a plugin catalog, Bot Mode, and the option to connect to a remote backend through Settings, then Gateways. That last one matters: you can run Hermes on a server and drive it from the desktop app.

It's a great place to chat with Hermes. As a dashboard for seeing missions, schedules and usage across lots of agents, it's thinner than the first two.

Best for: people who want an official app, not a browser tab.

4. Herald OS

Herald OS is an independent project by Luke The Dev. It's MIT licensed and in alpha, version 0.1. It calls itself an agent-native OS with Hermes as the interface.

It covers a lot of what you'd want from a dashboard: spaces, missions, memory, files, automations, and a "hey Hermes" voice trigger. There's a macOS app for Apple silicon and a Linux installer.

When I tried it, it looked nicer than Hermes Desktop. But the Connections page didn't work for me. That's alpha software for you, so go in expecting rough edges.

Best for: people who want missions and memory in a cleaner-looking layout and don't mind alpha bugs.

5. Hermes Cloud dashboard

Hermes Cloud is Nous Research's hosted option. You deploy, create an agent, then open its dashboard. Nous runs the instance for you.

Per the Hermes docs, you normally manage your cloud instances from the agents page in the Nous Portal. You can also connect your local Hermes to the Portal and just ask it things like "list my cloud agents" or "what's it costing me."

Best for: people who don't want to run a server or keep a laptop awake.

6. Hermes3D

Hermes3D is an independent project by LukeTheDev, MIT licensed, at release 1.0.0. Per the README, it's a 3D virtual office for AI agents you run on your own infrastructure.

You watch your agents work in a shared 3D office, or switch to a 2D pixel office for low-power machines. Per the README, you can also run standups with agents connected to GitHub and Jira, review pull requests in the office, and monitor QA pipelines and logs. It connects to Hermes through a bundled gateway adapter, and it doesn't install Hermes for you.

Best for: visual people and anyone demoing agents to a team.

7. StarNet

StarNet is an independent project by androoAGI with MIT-licensed code. It's a pixel-art station that can import your Hermes agents. It's an early release, so treat it as something to play with.

Best for: a fun side screen, not your main control panel.

How to pick a Hermes dashboard in one minute

Plenty of people run two. The web dashboard for admin and cost, plus a command centre like Agent OS for day-to-day missions. For a straight head-to-head on the top picks, see my best Hermes Agent dashboard list.

Mistakes people make with Hermes dashboards

If you want to see how different models perform inside these setups before you pick one, I track that on Goldie Bench.

And if you want help setting up Agent OS, Hermes Desktop and the web dashboard side by side, that's exactly what we do inside the AI Profit Boardroom. You get the Agent OS zip, the setup training and full Hermes Agent courses.
